Dr. Sheaffer Yinger DDS, MS

Dr. Sheaffer Yinger was born and raised in Vancouver, Washington, where she grew up as the middle child among four sisters with whom she shares a close bond. In high school, she met her husband Kurt, and they have been together ever since. In March 2023, they joyfully welcomed their first child, Sloane, into their lives. They also have a playful red lab puppy named Pretzel.

When Dr. Yinger is not passionately providing excellent care to her patients, she indulges in a variety of hobbies including reading, exploring her culinary skills through cooking, finding adventure in trail running, skiing, and enjoys watching sports. Her own experience as a soccer player at the University of Arizona contributed to her love for athletic events, and she’s proud to cheer on the Colorado Rockies, as well as the sports teams of the University of Arizona and Ohio State University.

Dr. Yinger’s academic achievements are remarkable. In 2016, she graduated from the University of Arizona as the Student Athlete Valedictorian, earning her Bachelor of Science in public health. During her time at the university, she excelled in soccer and was recognized as a College Sports Information Directors of America All-American for Women’s Soccer in 2015. She also received the prestigious Pacific-12 Conference (PAC-12) Scholar Athlete of the Year award the same year.

Continuing her academic pursuits, Dr. Yinger attended the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine, where she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Her dedication and leadership abilities were evident as she graduated as the class president and achieved an impressive third overall ranking in her class. Furthermore, she was inducted into the prestigious dental honor society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon.
