What to Expect During Their Visit
As Pediatric Specialists, we are well acquainted with the limited attention spans or potential anxieties and fears of all children! Fortunately our practices are designed just for kids. With extra features like television and music, their examination will fly by and allow for prevention of dental problems as well as provide valuable information to support good home care habits.
During ages 12-18 children will fully develop all their adult teeth and these years of dental health will be closely monitored by our Board Certified pediatric dentists!
What's Most Important During This Time:
- Continue with brushing and flossing for a healthy adult tooth foundation
- Your child should be evaluated regularly during these years to see if he/she may need orthodontic treatment
- Be wary of Sports and Energy drinks (high sugar drinks)
- Your child’s permanent teeth are in around the age of 12 or 13. Wisdom teeth (third molars) can erupt as late as 21 years old.nts
